These acquisitions aim to accelerate Cafeyn’s ambitious international expansion plan. The Cafeyn platform offers thousands of titles, news, and magazines, accessible via tablet, mobile app, or PC.

Job Description

The marketing department is seeking an online marketing specialist to join the Netherlands based team. Your day-to-day tasks will be varied and each day could be very different, but your main goals are designing, buying, monitoring and optimizing our advertising campaigns.
You manage various channels and campaigns by yourself (think of social media advertising, SEA, display, affiliates but also SEO). You’re responsible for the marketing budget. You ensure that our money is spent well. You will perform A/B testing to optimize the conversion of a campaign on the web or in the app stores. With this aim in mind, you’ll collaborate with our marketing comms-, data analysis-, design-, front end-, product- and CRM-team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Setting up online campaigns that ensure more traffic, leads and brand experience.
  • Determine which combination of online channels can best be used to achieve and set the campaign goals.
  • Monitor advertisements on, among other things, Google, Facebook, Instagram and optimize the efficiency of online advertising campaigns by sending them via CPC / CPL / CPS.
  • Work closely with design team to ensure visual assets and messages align to the core brand values
  • Lead localisation efforts (FR, NL, UK, IT etc) of paid media marketing strategy
  • Identify potential blockers or improvements in our onboarding flow and work with the product/tech/market teams to improve it
  • Set up A/B tests to improve advertisements
  • Discuss with our data analysts how to increase the relevance of the advertisements, based on data gathered.
  • Expanding our target groups to make our ads more relevant and personal in using smart targeting methods and also find new customers.

Preferred Experience

Our ideal candidate:

  • Experience with online advertising, minimum of 2 years, with an agency or client.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing campaigns, systems, testing.
  • A completed master
  • Fluent in French and Dutch, capable of speaking English
  • You are a real planner, without compromising
  • Your ability to engage people
  • Above average analytical and a strong self-starting capacity.
  • Data and automation are sacred to you. No matter how funny or strong a campaign is: ultimately it's all about the SUM in your Excel sheet. You always come up with a good numerical basis. This is how you will convince people.
